The line-up of BassFest just got even richer. We’re thrilled to welcome three exceptional artists: the irresistible funk and global grooves of Manou Gallo & Orchestra, the adventurous jazzy electronics of Y.O.P.E., and the boundary-pushing free improvisations of Joëlle Léandre. Together with Victor Wooten, Vincen Garcia, Xavier Foley, Mohini Dey, Dave Hollandand much more, they’ll turn 8 & 9 November 2025 at Theater Zuidplein (Rotterdam) into the ultimate bass weekend. We’re thrilled to welcome living legend Victor Wooten with The Wooten Brothers, funky bass guitarist Vincen García and classical double bass phenomenon Xavier Foley. They join the already announced Dave Holland Trio and Mohini Dey. On top of that we have Mehdi Nassouli & Marmoucha Orchestra, Sasha Witteveen, James Oesi Trio & Tijs Klaassen Quintet. For the very first time and exclusively live in the Netherlands: the phenomenal bassist Mohini Dey and her band! From a young age, the virtuosic Dey has been making waves with her unparalleled technique and musicality. She has collaborated with legends such as Steve Vai and Zakir Hussain, and released her debut album in 2023. She is known worldwide for her boundary-pushing playing!
For the second time at our festival, we are honored to welcome living legend Dave Holland. This time with his trio, delivering an explosive mix of virtuosity and groove, with saxophonist Jaleel Shaw and drummer Nasheet Waits as his dream partners in improvisation!
